Located in the heart of New Hamburg, Ontario, The Old Country Restaurant offers a true family restaurant experience, with its relaxed country atmosphere and traditional home-cooked menu. We pride ourselves on knowing it is the perfect place for an early morning breakfast, lunch on the run, or a casual family dinner.
We at The Old Country Restaurant have worked together as a family to create that comfortable, small town feel to our restaurant, where we know most of our customers by name. My wife Sue and myself have made great friends over the 25 years that we have owned and operated the restaurant.
I've been working in different capacities in restaurants since 1973, owning the Comparsita Restaurant in Waterloo from 1976 to 1984.
Our children Kathy, Steve, and Alex have all worked (and continue to work) with us. Kathy's husband Rob was the kitchen manager for 25 years.
So come and stop in! We would love for you to enjoy our delicious home-cooked meals, and get to know your name!
See you soon!
We believe that supporting our community is at the foundation of our business. From sponsoring our local sports teams and student awards, to honouring the New Hamburg volunteer fire fighters at an annual dinner. Our community is at the centre of everything we do, and we want to help make it the best it can be.
